Choose Automatic, Efficient, Balanced or Maximum to match your workflow. Use your Mac’s resources to accelerate compression and extraction where the format and task support parallel processing, and see core usage in real time.
Acceleration depends on the format, file structure and task. A single file in a ZIP is limited to single-core processing. Figures shown are illustrative.
Create AES-256 encrypted ZIP and 7Z archives, with optional encrypted file names in 7Z. Save extraction passwords in your Mac’s keychain and try them automatically.
Create split ZIP or 7Z archives, or split and join any file without compression. Open multi-volume archives and see exactly which volume is missing.
Compress and extract in batches. Manage your queue in Task Center: pause, resume, cancel or retry, then choose what happens after completion.
Browse archives, fine-tune compression and split large files. Familiar native controls throughout your workflow.
Feature illustrations; interfaces reconstructed from source screenshots.
Files and passwords are never uploaded. Zip7zX checks disk space, stages extracted files before moving them, and handles conflicts your way. Source deletion goes through the Trash, with confirmation.
